O projekte

Výhody spolupráce sú posilnenie a podpora susedských vzťahov a ochrana prírodného dedičstva pre budúce generácie. Riešeným územím projektu je prírodno-krajinársky Park Kerta v Michalovciach a park Széphalom v meste Satoraljaújhely. Oba parky nutne potrebujú revitalizáciu z hľadiska zelene a drevín z kompozičného ale aj zdravotného hľadiska a zároveň kvôli zachovaniu jeho významnej historickej hodnoty. Revitalizácia parkov pozostávajúca najmä z výsadieb a ošetrenia stromov, obnovy drobnej parkovej architektúry a chodníkovej siete.  Výsadba vegetácie je dôležitá z hľadiska ekológie a ochrany biodeverzity prírody. Úlohou obnovy tejto historickej zelene je zachovávať  prírodné dedičstvo a ponechávať ho v čo najpôvodnejšom stave, aby slúžilo aj pre nasledujúce generácie. Užívateľmi projektu budú všetky cieľové skupiny obyvateľov miest, návštevníkov miest, turisti.

Project overview

The benefits of cooperation are the strengthening and promotion of neighborly relations and the protection of the natural heritage for future generations. The project is aimed at the nature park Kerta in the Town Michalovce and the park Széphalom in the part of town Satoraljaújhely. Both parks urgently need revitalization in terms of greenery and trees in terms of composition and health, and at the same time in order to preserve its significant historical value. Parks revitalization, consisting mainly of planting and trees care, restoration of small park architecture and pavement network. Planting vegetation is important from the point of view of ecology and protection of biodiversity of nature. The task of restoring this historic greenery is to preserve the natural heritage and keep it in the most original state possible, so that it will serve for future generations. All target groups of towns’ residents, towns’ visitors, and tourists will be the users of the project. 

O parku Kerta

Vznik parku Kerta je spájaný s významný rodom Sztárayovcov, ktorí vlastnili michalovský kaštieľ ( dnes  Zemplínske múzeum). Ku kaštieľu postupne počas 18. a 19. storočia pribudli rozsiahle záhrady a parky. Vpravo od centrálneho kaštieľa bol postavený park, dnešná Kerta, a vľavo vysadený ovocný sad. Priestor pred kaštieľom bol riešený ako rozľahlý dvor. V roku 1867 prišiel na pozvanie Antona Sztáraya známy francúzsky odborník na botaniku a záhradník Ján Garnier, ktorý sa zaslúžil o významnú zmenu parkovej úpravy v okolí kaštieľa. 

About Kerta Park

The origin of the Kerta Park relates to the important Sztáray family, who owned the Michalovce´s manor house (today the Zemplin Museum). Extensive gardens and parks were gradually added to the manor during the 18th and 19th centuries. To the right of the central manor house was built a park, today's Kerta, and on the left a planted orchard. The space in front of the manor house was designed as a large courtyard. In 1867, at the invitation of Anton Sztáray, the well-known French expert on botany and gardener Jan Garnier came, who contributed to a significant change in the landscaping around the manor.
