O projekte

Projekt pomôže zachrániť národné kultúrne pamiatky v meste Michalovce a v meste Užhorod, prinavráti im zmysluplný obsah a funkciu, vďaka projektu budú vytvorené mestské galérie a profesionálne turistické informačné centrá európskeho štandardu.

Projekt pomôže spájať ľudí prihraničných regiónov kultúrou, umením, spoločnou históriou, zviditeľní kultúrne dedičstvo regiónov ako základného piliera rozvoja cestovného ruchu.

Ambíciou projektu je zvýšiť návštevnosť  galérií, vtiahnuť ľudí do kultúrneho diania inovatívnymi tvorivými formami, zvýšiť informovanosť o susedných regiónoch Zemplín, Zemplén a Zakarpatie.

Project overview

The project will help to save the cultural heritage monuments in the town of Michalovce and the city of Uzhhorod, filling them anew with a meaningful content and function, thanks to the project, municipal galleries and professional tourist information centres of European standard will be established.

The project will help to unite the people of the crossborder regions through culture, art, common history, and promote the cultural heritage of the regions as a basic pillar of tourism development.

The ambition of the project is to increase the number of visits in the galleries, to draw people into cultural life through innovative creative forms, to raise awareness of the neighbouring regions of Zemplín, Zemplén and Zakarpattia.

O Zlatom býku

Gabriel Strömpl, jeden z najbohatších obyvateľov Michaloviec, nechal postaviť nový poschodový hotel v rokoch 1905-1906 na mieste svojho zničeného domu. Od tej doby sa hotel s názvom „Golden Bull“ stal najväčším a najreprezentatívnejším zariadením tohto druhu v celom meste. Samotná rodina Strömplovcov vlastnila aj niekoľko miestnych mäsiarstiev a práve vďaka tomu je fasáda hotela zdobená pozlátenou hlavou býka. Budova je postavená v eklektickom slohu s prvkami secesie a je jednou z najkrajších budov v meste Michalovce.

O Sovom hniezde

Vínne pivnice „Sovie hniezdo“ sa tiež nazývajú „Rákocziho pivnice“. Názov je spojený s menom vojvodu Ferenca Rákócziho, ktorý pravdepodobne nechal tieto pivnice postaviť na skladovanie sudov s pivom. Horná časť budovy slúžila ako pivovar postavený v roku 1781 a dolná časť slúžila ako pivnica a sklad.

About  Golden Bull

Gabriel Strömpl, one of the richest residents of Michalovce, had a new multi-storey hotel built in the years 1905–1906 at the place of his demolished house. From that time the hotel called “The Golden Bull“ became the greatest and most representative facility of this kind in the whole town. The Strömpl family themselves owned also several local butcheries and just thanks to this fact the facade of the hotel is decorated with a gilded head of a bull. The building is built in an Eclectic style with elements of Art Nouveau and is one of the most beautiful buildings in the town of Michalovce.

About The Owl’s Nest

Wine cellars “The Owl’s Nest” is also called “The Rákoczi Cellars”. The denomination is connected with the name of Duke Ferenc Rákóczi, who probably had these cellars built for storage of barrels with beer. The upper part of the building served as a brewery which was built in 1781, and the lower part was used as a cellar and storehouse.

2. Obnova kultúrnej pamiatky „Zlatý Býk“
– IV/2020 – XII/2020

- Mesto Michalovce koncom septembra 2019 vyhlásilo Verejnú súťaž na zákazku s názvom: Michalovce – obnova kultúrnej pamiatky „Zlatý Býk“. Predmetom zákazky bola obnova kultúrnej pamiatky "Zlatý býk", ktorá je umiestnená na Námestí osloboditeľov 10, Michalovce. Úspešným uchádzačom na základe splnenia podmienok sa stala firma Reinter s.r.o. Riešenia obnovy pamiatky sa dotknú časti objektu, ktorá je prístupná z Námestia osloboditeľov (severná časť). Navrhnuté sú dispozičné úpravy existujúcich priestorov na prízemí, medziposchodia a v suteréne objektu pre účely mestskej galérie a informačného centra. Stavebné úpravy sa zrealizujú na základe súhlasného záväzného stanoviska Krajského pamiatkového úradu Košice za dodržania požiadaviek uvedených v stanovisku.
Termín začatia prác je stanovený na apríl 2020, a stavebné práce sú naplánované na nasledujúcich 9 mesiacov.

2. Restoration of the cultural monument „The Golden Bull“ - IV/2020 – XII/2020

At the end of September 2019, the town of Michalovce announced a public tender for the contract entitled: Michalovce - restoration of the cultural monument "Golden Bull". The subject of the contract was the restoration of the cultural monument "Golden Bull", which is located on Námeste osloboditeľov 10, Michalovce. Reinter ltd. became a successful candidate on the basis of meeting the conditions. The solutions for the restoration of the monument will affect the part of the building that is accessible from the Námestie osloboditeľov (northern part). Layout modifications of the existing space on the ground floor, mezzanine floor and in the basement of the building are proposed for the purposes of the town gallery and tourist information center. The building modifications will be carried out on the basis of the consent of the binding standpoint of The Regional Monuments Board of Košice, in compliance with the requirements stated in the standpoint.
The start date of the works is set for April 2020, and the construction works are scheduled for the next 9 months.
